Lecture 1

first lesson of our Knowledge Management System...turns out our lecturer is Ms Jamie Teo..have seen her before around Business block..

discuss whether KM exist in the past and also in Da Chang Jin aka Jewel In The Palace.
In the korean drama, there are recipe books that the cooks there can seek on the steps to cook the food. From here, we can say that KM exist as the pioneers wrote their skills (cooking) on books so that other cooks wanting to learnt that dish can refer to the recipe book. Recipes are written in books and stored carefully on shelves so that it is easy to find them.

We learnt what is KMS...

•KMS is the systematic process of finding, selecting, organizing, distilling and presenting information in a way that improves an employee's comprehension in a specific area of interest.

•KM involves people, technologies and processes.

•KM impact on organisation:
•Risk Minimization
•Efficiency Improvement
•Innovation
